Privacy Policy
This page explains what CareLuma collects and how the current MVP uses shared care information.
Effective date: May 2026
Information CareLuma Collects
CareLuma users create an account using Firebase Authentication. The app stores basic account and profile information such as email address, role, display name when provided, and care circle connection.
CareLuma stores shared care-circle data in Firebase Firestore, including check-ins and hydration logs. Check-ins may include mood, selected concerns or symptoms, and notes entered by the user. Hydration logs include glasses logged and the daily goal.
For this MVP, CareLuma’s medicine routine does not collect or show actual medication names, prescriptions, or dosage instructions.
Backend Services
CareLuma uses Firebase Authentication and Firebase Firestore as its backend services for sign-in, user profiles, care circle linking, shared check-ins, and shared hydration.
How Data Is Used
CareLuma uses account, profile, and care-circle information to provide the app experience, connect recipients and caretakers, and show shared care updates to linked accounts.
CareLuma does not sell user data and does not track users across other companies’ apps or websites for advertising.
Account Deletion
Users can delete their account in the app from Account settings. Account deletion deletes the Firebase sign-in account where possible, marks the user profile as deleted, clears account details, and signs the user out.
Shared check-in and hydration history may not be automatically deleted in this MVP, especially when it is part of a shared care circle.
